This 2010 Tony Award-winning musical tells the true story of the legendary 70s Nigerian musician, Fela Kuti, in a production featuring Fela’s own soulful Afrobeat rhythms and the explosive choreography by Bill T. Jones. Motivated by his mother, a civil rights champion, Fela defied a corrupt and oppressive military government and devoted his life and music to the struggle for freedom and human dignity.

FELA! is a triumphant tale of courage, passion and love.
