Q: Do I have to buy a ticket for my small child even though he/she is sitting on my lap?
A: All patrons, regardless of age must have a ticket to enter the theater. Children under three and babes in arms will not be permitted into the theater except when otherwise indicated - please call the Shubert Box Office for details.
Q: What time do theater doors open for a performance?
A: The doors to the theater lobby typically open 1 hour prior to curtain. However, presenters may open the auditorium doors at their discretion.
Q: If I arrive late for a performance will I have to wait to be seated?
A: Performance times are printed on all Shubert tickets. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the management. Due to the policy of the individual show’s producer, you may be asked to wait in the back of the theater for a short time. If you are asked to wait in the lobby, a large screen TV is available for you to view the performance.
Q: What is the theater’s policy on refunds and exchanges?
A: All sales are final - there are no refunds. Free ticket exchanges for another performance of the same show are offered to Subscription Series holders and Advance Buyers' Club members only. There is a limit of one exchange per show. Exchanges must be made at the Shubert Box Office or by mail. Original tickets must be returned at least 48 hours prior to the performance date printed on those tickets. Single Ticket purchases can be exchanged for a $10 per ticket charge and are subject to the above conditions.
Q: How can I pay for tickets?
A: Payment can be made with VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Cash or Personal Checks. Personal checks made payable to Shubert Theater can be accepted up until thirty (30) days prior to the performance you are ordering. Personal checks are not accepted for gift certificate sales.
Q: Will I be charged a fee for a returned check?
A: There is a $10 fee for any returned checks.
Q: Why aren’t my seat numbers consecutive?
A: Don’t worry, your seats are together. All aisles on the right side of the theater contain even numbered seats from 2 to 26, seats on the left side are odd numbers from 1 to 25. The center aisles of the theater contain seats with sequential numbers from 101 to 114. The arrangement of numbered seats allows our ushers to identify your seating location and help seat you quickly.
Q: Can I bring a camera, video camera or video phone to the show?
A: Most performers and shows do not allow any duplication of their performances; therefore cameras and visual and audio recorders are prohibited in the Shubert Theater.
Q: I want to bring a large group, can I get any deals?

Q: Can I take a tour of the Shubert Theater?
A: Tours are offered periodically throughout the year. Tours are typically reserved for groups, but we do offer tours that are open to individuals. Please click here for more information.
