Event Details
Shubert Summer Theater & Arts Camp is a great opportunity for young people to spend the summer finding their artistic talents and making new friends, all in a safe, art-rich environment. Camp is open to students entering 3rd–8th grades in the Fall of 2024.
Located at Cooperative Arts & Humanities High School - just down the block from Shubert Theatre - the camp is open to both New Haven and non-New Haven residents. Camp is staffed by a combination of professional artists, teaching artists, and emerging student-teacher-artists from Cooperative Arts & Humanities High School.
Musical Camp Options
Session 1: July 1–12 (Camp will not be held on July 4th)
- Grades 5 & 6: The Aristocats Kids
- Grades 7 & 8: Finding Nemo Jr.
Session 2: July 15–26
- Grades 5 & 6: Finding Nemo Kids
- Grades 7 & 8: James and the Giant Peach Jr.
Theater & Arts Camp
Theater & Arts Camp is available for sessions 1 & 2 for rising 3rd/4th graders, 5th/6th graders and 7th/8th graders. Campers will take Acting, Short Film, and Visual Arts classes each day.
About Shubert Summer Camp
Shubert Summer Camp offers students a chance to take in-depth classes in acting, short film, visual arts, and musical theater while in an arts rich environment.
Camp is staffed by a combination of professional artists, teaching artists, and emerging student-teacher-artists from Cooperative Arts & Humanities High School.
We are licensed by the CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC) and follow all OEC and health department guidelines and laws.
