Accessibility Accommodations

Here is information we hope will create a welcoming and accessible experience for our patrons.

Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) amplify and clarify sound by cutting down or eliminating ambient noise. Our ALDs transmit sound from a live microphone directly to a set of headphones. The Shubert offers headphones, or you may bring your own.

ALDs are available free of charge for all performances on a first-come, first-served basis by visiting Patron Services located in the Main Lobby.

Accessible Entrances

The main entrance to the Shubert Theatre and the entrance to the Shubert Hospitality Suite are both accessible.

Courtesy Wheelchair

The Shubert has a courtesy wheelchair available upon request. Please ask one of our ushers at the main entrance for assistance upon arrival.

Accessible seating

The Shubert offers accessible seating at all levels. Accessible seating may be purchased online at shubert.com, in person at the Shubert box office, or by phone at 203-562-5666. If you have any trouble with your seating at the venue, please ask a house manager for assistance.

Parking

The Shubert does not directly manage nearby parking garages. For information on accessible parking in nearby parking garages, please visit www.PARKNEWHAVEN.com.

The Shubert has a drop-off area located in front of the theatre for your convenience.

Service Animals

Only certified-trained Service Animals as allowed by law are permitted in the Shubert Theatre. If you intend to bring a service animal to an event, please notify your ticket representative at the time of purchase so that an appropriate seat may be purchased.

Accessible Restrooms

The Shubert has accessible restrooms located in the Lower Lobby, Main Lobby, Mezzanine Lobby, the Hospitality Suite, and the 4th floor. There are family-accessible restrooms located in the Hospitality Suite and one on the 4th floor. Please ask a volunteer for assistance.

Website Accessibility

The Shubert Theatre is committed to providing accessible website content to ensure people with disabilities have equal opportunity to access and utilize information. We are currently addressing any outstanding accessibility issues identified by our third-party vendor, and are working diligently to remediate as quickly as possible.

For Web content not accessible at this time, an equally effective alternative format will be provided. To request Web content in an alternative format, or if you have comments or suggestions on accessibility, please contact us at (203) 624-1825.
